it was after having successfully completed his studies in Construction Engineer that Dario Dalla Valle began his career as a researcher at the “Faculté Polytechnique” in Mons.

Following the adage 'travel broadens the mind', he decided to hone his skills from working for 2 years in Burundi. There, he became director of construction on humanitarian projects such as schools building, buildings, hospitals, etc…

Upon his return, he is experienced for some years in the buildings service from public sectors and bank, which later became its main markets.

In 1988 he bought a wood carpentry and aluminum business on the decline and revival thanks to new investment, a healthy dose of ambition and a proactive approach oriented "customers".

Then came a series of developments for the company Dalla Valle: construction of buildings in Péruwelz, doubling the workshops surface, construction of a showroom and a training room, versatile piece of equipment CNC milling machine, etc.. Dalla Valle S.A. quickly got aggregations for public procurement in Class 2, 3, 4 and 5, becomes an expert on sound and fire doors.

The company Dalla Valle has, since 1996, two workshops. One is intended to woodworking, the other manufactures metalwork (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, brass, Corten). To ensure proper management of workshops, it becomes necessary to split the teams and the administrative management of them. It is within the framework of a spin-off of the”LME”( Maison de l'Entreprise) the steel carpentry workshop Dalla Valle became independent in October 2000 and was renamed Metalquartz. Dalla Valle little sister’s, now Metalquartz organize the manufacture of all metal fittings.

Today DallaValle continues its successful way in alterations, renovation and refurbishment of buildings. The work is aimed at both facilities of shops, pharmacies, jewelry stores, banks, post offices, as hospitals, nursing homes and various public institutions. Thus for many years, chain stores Promod, Yves Rocher institutes, Auchan supermarkets, fast food Quick, Tournai-Expo complex, many hospitals (Tournai, Tubize, Charleroi, Mouscron, … ) municipal buildings, inter, or the Walloon region have been built by the company.

ING, Dexia, Fortis BNP Paribas, Monte dei Paschi di Siena, CIC Bank, Bank of Tokyo, CBC, CPH, KBC, Credit Agricole, BKCP, Fortis, Axa, Ethias and Deutsche Bank have all entrusted their development work to company Dalla Valle.

With its first client is the company Dalla Valle, Metalquartz specializes quickly in banking sector. The company produces many metal joinery (stainless steel, brass, Corten, aluminum) and is forced to enhance its products to meet high security standards for banks and resist breaking and bullets.

Metalquartz offers a wide range of products and systems tailored to banks:

• Metal joinery (doors, windows and partitions) with special features such as fire retardant tamper, bullet-proof, vandal-proof, heat insulation, sound insulation

Thanks to its proximity and its reputation in the banking sector, it is natural that this sector offers Metalquartz to thinks about a project that would combine the following characteristics:

- burglar resistance and bullet-proof
- Easily adaptable to different configurations
- Do not need to do major development work during installation
- Available at an affordable price

Metalquartz therefore puts its research & development department at work. They begin to imagine a concept of modular panels

- The composition of which will have burglar resistance and bullet-proof
- The format will be adapted to different scenarios,
- And whose manufacture and assembly will be standardized to minimize production costs.

Thus the Bunkerkit ® was born.

Engineers, designers, assemblers, welders, etc.. Working together to shape this project. Design schools are invited to participate in the implementation of the project: design of doors, corporate company image, etc.. In the aftermath, Bunkerkit ® won several high-level certifications and is a patented product and trademark by Metalquartz. Once placed on the market, the immediate success! Soon, more than 400 Belgian branches will be equipped with a Bunkerkit ®.

Currently Metalquartz employs thirty people who have advanced equipment to perform the one hand, work on measuring the metal sections and also a production optimized Bunkerkit ®. To do this, the company has a building of 3400 m² in Péruwelz. Technical expertise, innovation, careful selection of raw materials and constant quality control allow Metalquartz to manufacture high quality products safely.

Metalquartz continues to maintain the strengths that have always ensured its success:

In 2010, Dario Dalla Valle creates a French branch of Metalquartz based in Lille MécaProtection. This new company to be added to the portfolio of the engineer is to develop and enhance the Bunkerkit ® in France. It will be adapted according to the criteria, expectations and specific standards for the French market.
